Should I?

Healing comes and goes,

In the rhythm of ebbs and flows,

It feels as deep as the ocean,

Will I ever reach the surface?

In the waves my feelings fade,

Everything feels so far away,

I swim forward to stay,

Suddenly there’s a lighthouse in the way.

There’s someone on the shore,

Someone who’s been here before,

We work together to escape the tide,

They say I should have pride.

I am deserving,

Of this feeling?

Should I be giving and not receiving?

We’ll see how it goes,

It always ebbs and flows.
